Anker Soundcore Life A3i Review & Verdict
Sound Quality…Powerful with 10mm Drivers & Fully Customizable Sound
Despite their compact size, they are equipped with 10mm drivers, delivering impressive, punchy bass.
Additionally, you can customize the equalizer using the Soundcore app.
Output levels can be freely adjusted from highs to lows.
Mr. GadgetPersonally, I like the Soundcore app because it’s easier to use than apps from other manufacturers!
It’s also a great feature to be able to adjust the equalizer to suit your personal sound preferences.
Supported codecs are average for this price range.
The supported codecs are SBC and AAC.
Mr. GadgetMy impression is that this is pretty standard for this price range.
There are no particular issues when watching videos on YouTube or just listening to music normally.
If you are particular about sound quality, you should buy more expensive earphones that support LDAC or similar codecs.
Please refer to the table below for the characteristics of each codec.
| Codec | Characteristics |
|---|---|
| SBC | The most standard codec. Basically supported by all devices. Sound quality and latency are standard, neither particularly good nor bad. |
| AAC | Frequently used in Apple products such as iPhones. Android also generally supports it on version 8.0 or higher. Lower latency and higher sound quality than SBC. |
| aptX | Primarily adopted in Android. Lower latency and higher sound quality than SBC and AAC. |
| aptX LL | LL stands for Low Latency. Offers even lower latency than aptX. Sound quality is equivalent to aptX, but achieves ultra-low latency of under 0.04 seconds. |
| aptX HD | Capable of high-resolution equivalent sound playback. Slightly more latency than aptX. |
| aptX Adaptive | A codec that stabilizes aptX HD and reduces latency. By shifting from a fixed bitrate to a variable bitrate, processing is more stable and lower latency is achieved. |
| LDAC | An ultra-high sound quality codec developed by Sony. The highest sound quality among those introduced so far. Android also generally supports it on version 8.0 or higher. Higher latency than SBC. |
Explanations regarding codecs and other wireless earphones are provided in this article.

Noise Canceling…Great value! The cheapest in the Anker lineup!
The “Soundcore Life A3i” is currently Anker’s cheapest truly wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation.
While its noise-canceling performance falls short of higher-end models, I think it is very well-made for the price.
Mr. GadgetIt’s great to be able to experience Anker’s noise-canceling technology at this price point!
Ambient Sound Mode…Supported
Just like noise cancellation, ambient sound mode is supported.
Multipoint Connection Supported! Super Convenient!
The “Soundcore Life A3i” supports multipoint and can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.
With support for up to two devices, you don’t need to disconnect and reconnect. For example, you can watch YouTube on your tablet while answering an incoming call on your smartphone.
Ms. GadgetThis is super convenient!
Mr. GadgetMultipoint support is truly the best!
Battery Life…Quite Long
The “Soundcore Life A3i” provides up to 10 hours of music playback on a single charge of the earbuds themselves in normal mode, and up to 40 hours of playback when used in combination with the included charging case. Additionally, a 10-minute charge provides approximately 2 hours of music playback.
Mr. GadgetA maximum continuous playback time of up to 10 hours with the earbuds alone is super long!
Enabling the noise-canceling mode shortens it a bit, but I still think it’s quite long overall.
As for the continuous playback time when using the charging case as well, it boasts a long maximum of 40 hours, and I felt that this battery life is a huge strength of the “Soundcore Life A3i”.

Prices are especially likely to change during sales events, so please double-check.
Small and lightweight earbuds
The “Soundcore Life A3i” earbuds weigh about 4.7g each.
When wearing them for a long time, the weight of the earbuds is an important factor, but at 4.7g, it’s not an issue at all.
The peace of mind of an Anker product
Truly wireless earbuds have become mainstream in recent years, with various manufacturers competing to release all sorts of products.
As the market for truly wireless earbuds has grown, it has become increasingly chaotic, with questionable Chinese manufacturers releasing wireless earbuds and products lacking PSE marks being sold.
Given this situation, knowing they are made by the reputable manufacturer Anker is a major source of reassurance.
Mr. GadgetAfter all, truly wireless earbuds contain batteries.
I wouldn’t really recommend using products from unfamiliar, obscure manufacturers.
As I will explain in detail later, another reassuring point is that they come with an 18-month warranty plus an exclusive 6-month extension for members.
Peace of mind with an 18-month warranty + exclusive 6-month extended warranty
The “Soundcore Life A3i” comes with an 18-month warranty plus an exclusive 6-month extended warranty.
In addition, Anker’s customer support is reliable, giving you peace of mind.
Mr. GadgetTrue to its reputation as a well-known manufacturer, Anker provides solid support.
When an Anker product of mine broke in the past, it was within the warranty period so they replaced it right away!
Conclusion
If you’re choosing for under 7,000 yen, this is the best answer!
The “Soundcore Life A3i” is a truly fantastic completely wireless earbud that supports convenient features like noise cancellation, ambient sound mode, and multipoint, all while coming in at a regular price of under 7,000 yen.
Mr. GadgetHonestly, having noise cancellation, ambient sound mode, and multipoint at this price point is amazing!
Plus, it’s made by Anker!
As I mentioned at the beginning, since it is the cheapest noise-canceling earbud in Anker’s Soundcore series, it is of course highly recommended for those who want an earbud with noise cancellation as cheaply as possible. However, not only is the noise cancellation great, but other performance features like multipoint are also wonderful, making it a must-have for anyone looking for an affordable, high-value-for-money earbud!
If you want to buy earbuds for under 7,000 yen, buying the “Soundcore Life A3i” is definitely the right choice!
