Additionally, registering as a member on the official ETOE website automatically extends the warranty by an additional 6 months (for a total of 18 months).
Mr. GadgetIt’s certainly reassuring to have a 12-month manufacturer warranty!
Ms. GadgetFurthermore, they offer free returns, refunds, exchanges, and repairs within 30 days, even for personal reasons!
Please note that batteries for the remote control are not included.
Mr. GadgetI would have preferred if they were included…
If you want to use it right away, be sure to have some AAA batteries ready…

Design & Appearance
It is also equipped with a tripod mount
Ms. GadgetThe simple design is a nice touch!
Usability
Image Quality… Surprisingly Not Bad
Mr. GadgetApologies for the lived-in look in the background…
Even when moving quite close, the projection was surprisingly clear!
Since it is 720p, I initially thought projecting it larger might make text unreadable, but I was surprised by how sharp it looked!
I was also able to connect it to a smartphone and project our site.
Mr. GadgetThe image quality felt completely natural with zero discomfort!
Sound Quality… Completely Fine for Watching YouTube and Similar Content
If you ask whether the sound quality itself is suited for music listening, it is a bit questionable, but I found it completely fine for watching videos on YouTube and other platforms.
Furthermore, the maximum volume is reasonably loud, and unless you are in a particularly large room, I felt that this single unit gets the job done.
However, those who want to enjoy the powerful audio of films when watching movies will likely find the sound quality insufficient.

Can Also Be Used as a Bluetooth Speaker
As shown here, it can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker.
No Built-in Battery…
One of the advantages of this projector is that it is compact, but the fact that a constant connection to a power source is absolutely required kind of undermines that benefit…
Of course, being compact makes it easy to carry around and it doesn’t take up much space, but I feel like its versatility would have been expanded even further if it had a built-in battery.
Mr. GadgetWell, it is ultimately a compact home projector rather than a portable projector, so that can’t be helped.
Peace of Mind from a Real Manufacturer
As you can see by looking at this article, ‘<ETOE>’ is a manufacturer that properly develops projectors.
If you look into the manufacturers selling projectors in the same price range on Amazon, they are mostly unknown manufacturers that don’t even have an official website.
Mr. GadgetProjectors handle a large amount of power, so it’s pretty scary when you don’t even know what kind of manufacturer made them.
As I’ve mentioned in review articles for power banks and earphones, you should definitely buy products from brands that offer a baseline of trustworthiness as a manufacturer.
Mr. GadgetIn the past, a portable charger from some obscure brand started smoking on me, so I always pay attention to this point!
Compared to other manufacturers selling projectors in the same price range, “ETOE” has an official website and releases various other projectors in addition to this product, which makes them relatively reassuring.
And as mentioned earlier, the fact that free returns, refunds, exchanges, and repairs are available even for personal reasons within 30 days, along with a 12-month manufacturer warranty, is also highly commendable.
Ms. GadgetWith products in this price range, initial defects and the like seem quite likely to happen, so a warranty is important!
Ready to Use Right Away with Minimal Setup + Power On
Once the Wi-Fi setup was complete, I was able to start watching YouTube and other services right away.
YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Spotify, and others came pre-installed from the start.
Hulu can also be added from the app store.
Ms. GadgetWhile not exhaustive, most major video streaming services can be installed.

Equipped with Auto Keystone Correction
As you can see, auto-correction is supported.
Mr. GadgetAdjusting projector alignment yourself can be quite difficult and, above all, tedious, so having support for auto-correction is a fantastic feature!
Additionally, settings such as auto-shutdown and screensavers are also available.
Remote Control Responsiveness is Poor
Personally, I found this quite frustrating. I am not sure if it uses infrared or some other communication method, but it simply does not respond well.
This is the least responsive remote control I have ever used in my life…
Mr. GadgetIt responds reasonably well if you point the remote directly at the projector unit itself, but since the settings screen is projected onto the screen, this is quite a fatally annoying issue.
Review Summary
Recommended if you want to buy a projector while keeping your budget as low as possible!
The ETOE D1 EVO excels in cost performance and peace of mind.
It supports desired features for a projector such as auto keystone correction, and allows you to tweak various settings including color temperature and audio, making it feel carefully crafted down to the fine details.
In this low price range, shady manufacturers and products are often rampant, making it difficult to purchase with confidence. However, as mentioned earlier, the “ETOE D1 EVO” offers greater peace of mind as a manufacturer compared to others in the same price range, and comes with a warranty.
This projector is especially recommended for those who want to try using a projector for the first time or have a limited budget under 20,000 yen!
