Actual Usage Experience
Sound Quality… Quite Clear! But Lacking in Resonance and Impact
Regarding sound quality, my honest impression is ” I can’t believe I can reduce the volume so much and still hear the sound clearly “.
The noise reduction is just right, and the surrounding noise is clearly reduced when you wear them.
It feels like the earplugs are selecting the sounds they pick up.
However, the sound lacks a bit of resonance, impact, and depth.
Mr.ガジェットSimply put, the sound feels shallow overall.
I listened to various types of music, and I felt that it definitely has its strengths and weaknesses depending on the song.
It’s pretty good for pop music, and songs where the human voice is prominent are generally good.
On the other hand, it’s not suitable for music with a lot of high and low frequencies, such as rock and metal, or instrumental music.
Mr.ガジェットProbably the high and low frequencies, resonance, and impact are sounds that are harmful to the ears, and also “ringing” sounds for people with hyperacusis.
Considering that, I think the sound quality is doing a good job in that it can be heard clearly.

Noise Reduction… Appropriately Reduces to a Certain Extent
First of all, the “Loop Experience Plus” is not a product aimed at completely blocking sound, but rather a product that aims to reduce surrounding noise while prioritizing sound quality.
Therefore, it’s not recommended for people who want to completely block sound, and it wasn’t made for that purpose in the first place.
The noise reduction is numerically 18dB, and with the Loop Mute attached, it’s 23dB, which reduces the sound.
Ms.ガジェットThe Loop Mute is only included with the plus version.
For example, according to Japan Noise Research, 70dB is “quite noisy. It’s difficult to have a conversation without speaking loudly. Noisy office”, and 50dB is “normal conversation is possible. Quiet office”, so even a 20dB reduction significantly reduces the surrounding noise.
Mr.ガジェットIt’s just my personal impression, but when I put them on, the surrounding noise was reduced more than I expected.
Also, if you want more noise-canceling earplugs or earplugs specifically for everyday use, sleep earplugs might be a good option.
