Best value for money “eMeet M2” review! A superb wireless speakerphone with no drawbacks!

Telework and online meetings have been rapidly adopted since the coronavirus pandemic. Are you familiar with wireless speakerphones, which are very useful in these situations?

Using a speakerphone makes it easier to have stable and comfortable conversations in web meetings with many participants.

You can also use a microphone and speaker as a substitute, but considering the sound quality and sound pickup, using a speakerphone is the best option.

So, this time I’m going to introduce the eMeet M2, a highly recommended wireless speakerphone.

The “eMeet M2” has a 360-degree omnidirectional pickup and a sound pickup range of approximately 8-10m radius. In particular, the directivity, which refers to the range in which sound can be picked up, is especially important for speakerphones.

This means that it can reliably pick up sound from any direction within a radius of approximately 8-10m. According to the manufacturer, it can support up to 8 people.

Also, it supports both wired and wireless connections. Wired connections include AUX and USB, while wireless connections include Bluetooth and Bluetooth via a USB dongle.

 A key feature is eMeet’s unique VoiceIA audio signal processing technology, which enables echo cancellation and noise cancellation. It also has a “Position Detection Function” that automatically detects the speaker’s direction and clearly picks up their voice, helping to make conversations smooth and comfortable!

How it Feels to Use

I tested it by connecting to Google Meet.

The sound quality is quite different from the sound of the built-in PC microphone. The clarity of the sound is completely different. There was very little noise, so the voice itself was very easy to hear.

This is likely due to eMeet’s unique VoiceIA audio signal processing technology, which provides echo cancellation and noise cancellation!

The volume was quite loud even at the lowest setting. At the maximum volume, it was so loud that you’d want to cover your ears.

Also, when the volume was changed on the connected PC, the speakerphone lit up clearly to indicate this.

About the Position Detection Function

The LED lamp responded well to the speaker’s direction! It’s reassuring to see that it’s actually responding to the voice. It’s very convenient because it’s easy to tell who is speaking, even in a large group.

About the Connection

Both wired (AUX and USB) connections worked without any problems. There was little delay, and it wasn’t stressful at all.

Wireless connection can be done using a USB dongle or Bluetooth.

When connecting with the USB dongle, the connection was completed simply by plugging it in.

When connecting via Bluetooth, I initially paired the eMeet M2, but after that, there were no hassles and it connected smoothly.

There was little difference in sound quality between the two connection methods. However, there was a slight delay with wireless compared to wired. But it was only noticeable if you were particularly paying attention, and it wasn’t a big deal.

Also, I was able to use it with my smartphone via Bluetooth connection.

Using it as a Speaker

The sound quality is quite mid-range focused. Well, that’s natural for a speakerphone designed for meetings (laughs)

I personally like songs with a strong vocal presence, so this tuning might be a good fit for people like me.

I recommend using it to listen to the radio!

Summary

I was quite surprised by how high-performance it was. Honestly, I thought it would be easier to just use the built-in microphone and speaker on my PC, but the benefits of using the “eMeet M2” far outweigh that. The difference in sound quality is amazing! Because there is very little noise and echo, I can focus on the meeting without being distracted, so it’s a bit expensive, but I definitely recommend buying it for people who want to use it for work.

Personally, I recommend connecting via USB rather than wirelessly to get the most out of the “eMeet M2’s” potential!
